What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners. Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (stored until they expire or you delete them).

Oathra uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to provide core functionality, remember your preferences, and analyze how you use the Service.

2

Cookies We Use

The following table describes the cookies Oathra sets and their purposes:

Essential Cookies

Required for the Service to function. Cannot be disabled.

sb-[projectId]-auth-tokenSupabase authentication session token: keeps you logged in
NEXT_LOCALERemembers your preferred language across sessions
oathra-cookie-consentStores your cookie consent choice and its policy version; set only after you interact with the banner, so it is not written until you make a choice
oathra-consent-idRandom browser identifier used to link your consent choice to an audit record (no account or personal data); also written only once you make a choice
oathra-webauthn-challengeShort-lived (5 min) challenge for passkey sign-in and enrolment; deleted immediately after use

Analytics Cookies

Loaded only when you choose 'Accept All' in the cookie banner. Used to understand how the platform is used and improve it.

_gaGoogle Analytics visitor and session measurement cookie
_ga_*Google Analytics property-specific session state cookie
Vercel AnalyticsFirst-party page-view analytics. No cross-site tracking. Withdrawing consent mid-session halts further beacons immediately (checked before each send).
Vercel Speed InsightsCore Web Vitals (LCP / INP / CLS) sampled from real visits, used for performance monitoring. These fire at page-lifecycle boundaries — if you reject after the page has already loaded, events emitted before your click may have already been sent. Close and reopen the tab to fully stop.
3

Browser Storage (localStorage, sessionStorage)

Some preferences and short-lived state are stored in your browser's localStorage or sessionStorage — not as cookies. These remain entirely on your device and are never sent to our servers except when you ask the app to sync settings to your account.

localStorage

oathra-themeStores your selected theme preference (dark, light, or system)
oathra-sidebar-collapsedRemembers your sidebar collapsed/expanded state
rt-pnl-paletteStores your P&L color palette preference (classic, CVD-safe, high-contrast)
exchange_ratesCaches currency exchange rates fetched from frankfurter.app so the app loads fast and works offline
rawtrade_tm_templatesLegacy localStorage cache being one-way migrated to your account; deleted from this device the next time you open Trade Manager. No new writes occur.

sessionStorage

rt_session_tokenShort-lived session token for the AI Coach streaming connection; cleared when you close the browser tab.

Other technologies

Sentry (error monitoring)We use Sentry to detect crashes and runtime errors. The SDK does not set cookies, but it may buffer short-lived session state in IndexedDB when a crash is captured. Events are masked by default (all text, all media) and scrubbed of request bodies. Treated as essential operational telemetry for site security and reliability — runs on every page and on the mobile app regardless of your cookie choice. On mobile, error-reporting session tracking starts at app launch (before the consent banner is shown on a fresh install) because startup crashes must be captured before any UI is rendered. No personally identifiable information is included — events contain only anonymous crash data and a random user identifier. If you prefer not to be included, contact us (below) and we will exclude you from replay sampling.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on Oathra are set by third-party services we use. These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies:

  • Supabase: sets authentication session cookies required to identify your login session. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics: may set analytics cookies only after you accept them in the cookie banner. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel: serves the website and may process standard request logs needed to operate the Service. Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights are only loaded after you choose "Accept All" in the cookie banner. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

Oathra does not use advertising trackers such as Facebook Pixel. All analytics — Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights — are optional and only load after you choose "Accept All" in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer or from Settings → Cookies.

Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block cookies from specific websites
  • Block all third-party cookies
  • Clear all cookies when you close your browser

Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to Oathra and using the Service. Disabling preference cookies will cause your settings to reset each session.

Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge
